Vigo has experienced one of the most rapid growth dynamics in the last 200 years in all Spain. It has gone from a fishers village to become the core of a half a million people metropolitan area. The natuarl landscape is exceptional and impressive: arriving to Vigo from Portugal by the toll expressway allows a wonderful view of the bay, protected to the west by the Cies Islands. The combination of water, green hills and a quite caothic urban landscape in some parts is an aesthetical impact. And on the sea, the bateas, rafts for mussel growing that create a curious pattern on aerial images…
